This piece is in progress right now. I have taken a piece of art that was given to me as a debt owed in 2003. Unsigned, he said it was done by a famous artist (son of fashion designer) in Wilmington, NC and they included letters from their mother. He got it as a gabling debt. After twelve years of being unable to find out who the artist is, I'm taken a gamble and deconstructing an unknown artist's work. The original was a fish with various papers glued to the canvas. I have left the top and bottom almost unchanged. If any body knowns who the original artist could be, please let me known.
I am an emerging self-taught artist with a background in architecture. I have been painting for the past 10 years creating over 700 pieces of art and will continue to push my boundaries and explore new territory in my work. I work fast and intuitively on multiple pieces at once in studios inside and out. I use traditional additive painting techniques (drip, cut/paste) with subtractive methods (water, sanding and Ctrl+Z) to construct dynamic and colorful art. My current work in inspired by urban graffiti, nature's beauty, music and personal experiences. I want my work to inspire creativity.
